Mass media.. both mass media

We live in times of political polarity: the empire from the left and the empire from the right.

I used to think there was one empire and one anti-empire.
Now I understand that both are essentially the same —
the difference being that one is ruled by economic power and the other by political power,
but both share the same structure.

So, what can we do in a world where everyone wants to dominate your mind and will?
One group imposes its concept of harmony with a sanction book under its arm.
The other group waves the flag of free speech with the “persuasion of the masses” manual under theirs.
What can we do?

Well, it’s simple:
We must read.
We must inform ourselves about these dynamics,
so we can figure out — from wherever we stand — how to break free from both systems.

Because I’ve seen people who, in protests, shout against “the system,”
only to come home and shout the same way (or worse)
at the two employees they have in their small business.

Sometimes I think this political polarity we live in
is where one group forces you through violence,
and the other through professional persuasion.

And perhaps one way to escape the traps of political corruption
is to have truth, love, and coherence
in what you believe, in what you say, and in what you do
to the people around you.
